Do we truly lead a solitary life?

TRIGGER WARNING: DEPRESSION

All of us feel the pain of loneliness, but are we ever truly alone? While it seems as if he was always on his own, Harry Potter always had the support of his friends and guardians, showing us that there’s no such thing as ever being truly alone. The best example of this was when Harry wasn’t receiving any letters from his friends all summer, feeling neglected by them, only to find out Dobby had been hiding them from him the entire time. The next scene that followed, with Ron and the Weasley twins rescuing him in their flying car, was just the cherry on top. It shows that how much ever you feel you are alone, you are not and every time you feel that more, you need to know that it is all happening for a reason. No one said it would be easy to overcome, but Harry proved that overcoming it would be worth it. Harry also came to realise that although there are some battles you need to fight alone, there are others that you can’t, so it's okay to ask for help or open up. “Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.” This quote from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban reminds all of us never to give up hope, that happiness can be found even in dark times if you look for it.
