Every breath she takes,
She hopes for more love
She hopes for the cruel lenses of societies to stop scrutinising her,
She hopes her family and friends aren't ashamed of her,
She hopes that she can love whoever she wants without worrying about acceptance.
She's human
She bleeds when she gets cut,
She sheds a tear when she's hurt,
She has a heart and a mind
Then why is she not treated like one?
As a straight person, you never really understand,
Just how different the world may look through
The lens of a different sexuality
Imagine waking up in the morning with a cyber storm of hate and aggression directed towards you
Imagine bottling up such a crucial aspect of your personality just so that you aren't considered
An outcast or misfit.
Imagine being punished, abused and assaulted for resonating with a gender that you weren't
Born as, or for loving someone you weren't 'supposed' to love.
Why is being part of the LGBTQI+ community still hushed?
We are 7.8 billion people,
If all of us were the same, life would be bland and colourless.
How can you be against someone wanting to wear different clothing, eat different food, Pray to a different god or love someone else.
Society’s hetronomative ideas have kept so many people locked in a suffocating closet
Nobody deserves to live like that
Be compassionate, be understanding and be accepting.
Let people come out to the world from the closet that trapped them,
And support their presence.
"Every time someone steps up and says who they are, the world becomes a better, more
interesting place."
